Who we are
OT AI is an AI solutions company in Iceland, run by its founder, Óskar Þórðarson. The website and its services are operated by OÞ ehf., company registration number 671113-1520, Eskiás 4D, 210 Garðabær, Iceland, which is the data controller for the information described here. For any matter relating to privacy, or to exercise the rights set out below, email hello@otai.is.
What information we collect
We collect information through the contact form on the website. The form collects your name, work email address, company, phone number (optional), estimated project budget (optional) and message. We also record that you have consented to being contacted. We do not collect sensitive personal data and ask you not to enter sensitive information in free-text fields.
For what purposes and on what legal basis
We use this information only to respond to your enquiry and, if we work together, to carry out the project. Our legal basis is your consent when you submit the form, and our legitimate interests in responding to business enquiries. We do not sell your information or use it for unrelated marketing.
Who processes information on our behalf
We use a small number of trusted processors to operate the website and respond to you: Vercel (website hosting), Supabase (storage of enquiries), AgentMail (sends your enquiry to us by email) and Cloudflare (DNS and protection against bots). Each processes data only in accordance with our instructions. Where a service provider stores data outside the EEA, that transfer is based on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent safeguards.
How long we retain information
We retain enquiry data for up to 24 months so that we can follow up, and then delete it, unless we are working together. In that case, we retain what is necessary for the duration of the project and for the period required by accounting and record-keeping laws.
Cookies
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. If bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile) is active on the contact form, it may set a short-lived cookie to distinguish people from bots; the cookie is used only for that purpose.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, have it corrected or deleted, receive a copy of it, withdraw your consent, and object to or restrict our use of it. Email us and we will respond to your request. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Icelandic Data Protection Authority (Persónuvernd) at personuvernd.is. We do not make any automated decisions about you that have legal or significant effects.
